The Dead Sea Scolls. What even are those?
Found near the West Bank of the Dead Sea in the late 1940's were scrolls that were discovered by archeologiests. These scrolls are believed to have been directly related to the Christian faith. The only question is, what the hell is the dead sea scrolls talking about?
John Allegro who was an agnostic archeologiest who believed that these scrolls weren't speaking of love, and faith in God, and loving thy neighbor. He thought these writtings were referring to the power the amanita muscaria, and how it brought them closer to "God."
Allegro wrote two books on these theories, most notably, "The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross." In this book Allegro describes the ancient Christian faith may have been only a large fertility cult who tripped balls on magic mushrooms.
Of course this is highly discredited by researchers, and people of high religious faith. But I tend to think it is interesting how the book was bought out by the Catholic Church, then they completely stopped publishing the book in total. Since Allegro was the only person on the team of archeologiests that was not of Christian faith, his findings were thought to be unorthodox, and not considered to be real evidence.
As for the bible and other parables from Christian faith, they were simply ways of retaining the information by using symbolism all while hiding it from the Romans, who they were in conflict with at the time.
And if we are going out on a limb here...
The word "Christ" was traced back to an ancient Sumeric word meaning "smeared semen." Yes, this is real. Check it out.
In the name of the Father, the Son & the Holy Fungus.Historians and theologians have long debated the “real story” of Jesus. Sure, the
I have linked some pictures and URL's of some different resources regarding the Dead Sea scrolls. Are they credible? Probably. Did I check? No. Research for yourselves, don't take my word for it!
