Next in line! #NowSpinning Intronaut - "The Direction of Last Things" 2015 - If there ever was an album that became a huge motivator to finally do something of my own in the music world, this was it. This band is one that I can listen to for the rest of my days, I never get tired of it. Found these guys around the same time I found The Ocean, my first exposure being "Fast Worms" which is the first track off of this album. They are such a beautiful blend of sludge and progressive, weaving soundscapes that take you to other worlds with guitar. The haunting harmonies provided by Sacha Dunable and Dave Timnick are both beautiful and spine tingling, matching the tone of the music. Joe Lester is absolutely phenomenal on bass, playing through licks with ease and Danny Walker is easily one of the most underrated drummers of the decade. This album is a musical masterpiece of a rollercoaster, seamlessly switching from crushing riffs to relaxing ambience with masterful ease that these guys exude as musicians.
