(Hey, I was wondering what it takes besides an interest for interaction.)
first, i’m really sorry if you wanted this to be answered privately, but i feel like i want this to be an answer everyone can go to.
second, sometimes your interest isn’t enough.
i hate to say it and risk coming off as a jerk, but sometimes you wanting to rp with someone won’t cut it. most of the time it will because — woo — rping is fun and you wanna get your character out there and interact with anyone and everyone.
but for me, personally, i either have a ton of interest in rping with someone or none at all.
i always looks at about/rules pages, and those alone are what give me my first impression aside from themes and stuff as shallow as that sounds.
some people’s characters just don’t grab me the same way others do. if i don’t feel like my muse can gain anything from interaction (usually in terms of character development or entertainment), then i don’t really want to rp with that person.
it sucks because i know people do the same thing with me, but i gotta be okay with them not wanting to interact. because as badly as i wanna rp with them, i’d really rather them not force replies and make themselves interact with me when they don’t want to.
you can ask over and over again (which you shouldn’t do cause that’s rude and puts people off) but some people just don’t wanna. SHRUGS
