It has been a long time since Mei Hui joined Shu. Sure that they're warmly welcomed, but ever since then, Mei Hui could hardly see her dear childhood friend. She would not raise the topic when she encounter him for she wouldn't want to be a burden or an attention seeker. The maiden has watched him from afar; his achievements, his despair and such.
The only time she'd able to spend time with him when they're in a battlefield. Mei Hui would do her best to earn his praise or to get patted on the head. She knew the fact that he is busy with his campaigns, and Mei Hui would not dare to approach him at all.
She has been writing for his mother secretly, telling her how is his condition...by watching him afar. The maiden felt a little lonely ever since she's in Shu, but she felt that she deserve to be that way. Only the flowers could be her companion; her best friends.
Lilies would be her favorite flower, since her dear friend would present her those everytime back then. But now, she receive nothing from him. Perhaps he has forgotten or too busy. Either way, Mei Hui would wait for him. Sitting in the garden alone, Mei Hui holds a bunch of lilies in her hand, talking to herself,
"Jiang Wei... Mei Hui has brought back a bunch of lilies... Mei Hui thought you'd like it too..." she said.
It has been awhile since Mei Hui started talking to herself. The maiden would believe that it would keep herself positive that way. The others would say that she's losing her mind and turning crazy, but Mei Hui care no less about what others say. She lay down on the ground with the lilies around her, smiling as she reminiscing the past.
"It's a promise... Mei Hui will follow you until the end." she mumbled. She then begin to hum a rhyme.
