＊ Being Happy is Daily Choice! ＊ I’m sure many of you will agree with me on this. Most people these days are looking for sophisticated ways to make their lives more enjoyable. Whether it’s for gaining more self-esteem or for trying to impress others. Am I correct? I sincerely think, and this is from my personal life experience, that life is simple and it’s all in your hands. You have the power to mold it, make it whatever you want it to be or break it, shape it and reshape it. Just the past week (in Kyoto), I have experienced first hand what people mean when they say that #happiness is a #choice ! After work, I ran into a group of graduating students from one of the most prominent universities in Japan, Doshisha University. Their costumes were just so beautiful that I couldn’t resist to use a beckoning sign and communicate with them. You won’t believe what happened: they actually ran towards me… and it really felt good. After a little chat (they were telling me about their tea ceremony experience), we took a picture together. Before parting ways, I offered to airdrop the images (if they had an iPhone) and they happily said: “hoshii” in Japanese, which means we want them. Now, I don’t have the proof of what I’m going to say here: they actually gave us (my colleagues and myself) a heartfelt sendoff, waiving for about a few seconds. It was an incredible feeling. I don’t know what we did to them, or what they did to us. But all I can say is that we all went home with a wonderful feeling. Someone said that: “Happiness is found in little things”. “Happiness is always around you, knocking at your door. You just gotta let it in…” I found that to be true. Therefore, I have decided to live by this powerful idea from now and I am inviting you to do the same: try to find happiness in whatever you do. Choose to be happy! ー Patrick M.
