The Sun God and the World's Smartest Man
Hyperion had grown lonely watching the world from above. He missed his comrades of old. But this was a new world, with new opportunities. Maybe he could make up for past errors, begin again.
He flew up far above the clouds. Reaching the apex of his leap, framed by the sun itself, Mark became his dive back to earth. He fell like a blazing meteor from out of space. Moments before hitting the ground (which still put him far above even the world's tallest buildings) he pulled himself out of the dive and made his way to the Baxter Building.
"Maybe we can be allies again, old friend," Hyperion spoke to himself, "Maybe here, things will be different."
This Baxter Building was much brighter than what Mark had been used to. It seemed as if this Reed had become a good man, a family man. Mark smiled.
"I always knew there was good in you Reed..." but this wasn't his Reed. That man made his choices and he paid for them. But still, it hurt to know he couldn't save his dearest friend. But he was here now, another life, another destiny.
Hyperion found Reed's Lab and knocked out at the window.
"Dr. Richards, my name is Mark Milton, Hyperion of another earth. I thought we could talk."
