Kill Me, Mourn Me,Join Me [because I had to]
[Put Hades to work why don’t you? Joking. This will entertain the dark lord for a bit.]
It was a very rare occasion when Hades found himself actually wishing to kill anybody within the camp. He knew of the repercussions that he was bound to face from the other Gods of Olympus but this simply had to be done. Grain had done one thing that was always a touchy subject to the Lord of the dead and that was attempting to murder one of his children. Sighing, Hades spoke with all of the souls that were guards at his home in the Underworld and discussed his devious plans for the young woman. Sure he was the ruler of the Underworld and used to death but killing a person from the camp was forbidden. This girl was the daughter of another God and he knew how much this would egg on an upcoming war. Either way, Hades still saw his direct bloodline as more important and with Nico having been threatened by her actions had to be taken.
Much to the guards dismay, Hades came forth to the mortal world with the darkest of the creatures that he commanded. The beings that he brought with him—be it a fury, a hell hound, or some other monstrous being—were the most feared of their kind from down there. This feat would not be something easy. Hades knew he would have to lure the woman outside of the protective barrier to even be able to touch her. That was when an idea struck his mind. If another camper was thought to be in trouble then Hades was sure it would be enough to get the woman to leave. With a sinister smirk upon his face he had to find a demigod that was foolish enough to leave camp now. Fortunately for him it did not take long. Clarisse La Rue—being as bold as she was—had exited the camp barriers after hearing one of his prized hell hounds not far away causing a distraction. When she was headed back for the barrier he had two of his monstrous creatures pick her up like a tooth pick, even managing to disarm the war daughter due to how she was not expecting the attack. Knowing he would get shit from Ares later on for laying a hand on his prized daughter Clarisse, Hades pressed the thoughts away and continued on, bringing her closer to the barrier as she fought and kiocked even managing to take down a cyclops that was holding her. Just as planned Hades saw Grain come running out to help Clarisse.
Throwing Clarisse back into the camp barrier Hades now had his chance. As Grain exited from the safe boundary of the pine tree he looked her in the eye. His dark, sunken hues peered directly into her soul with a look of hatred and yet regret that he had to kill her. With a single motion of his hand a large hell hound charged over the hill as a cyclops restrained Grain and began tearing into her. Screams of agonizing pain could be heard but the camp was much too busy tending to Clarisse at the moment to hear. Within minutes the girl had died and all that Hades knew was she was in his domain now—-a lost soul that would be looking for vengeance more then likely.
It had been about a month or so since Hades had killed Grain and she had been sentenced to living in the Underworld with him instead of the latter choice of going up to the Elysium fields. Every night he had to hear her complain about how he had taken her life. The same questions always seemed to be vomited from her mouth: why did you do it? what did I do to you?. Hades would always reply with the same cold hearten answer telling her about how she deserved it. She should have never threatened his beloved son. Losing his daughter had taken a great toll on him believe it or not and ever since then he had actually kept a close eye on his children. Even though he felt like he should not regret killing the woman he still did. She was more then likely overreacting when she threatened Nico Di Angelo so why should she deserve to die? Hades would never come out and say it straight to her but he really did mourn the fact of how she was dead, mostly for the reason of how she never shut up about him killing her.
The thought had been racking Hades dark mind lately. Grain was stuck down in the Underworld until further notice. Could it be possible that she could be of some use to him? When he had tricked Persephone into eating those few pomegranate seeds all of those centuries ago he had to deal with her complaints during half of the year since. What if Grain would join him in the underworld [seeing as how she was stuck there anyways] and help him oversee everything the way that the Goddess of springtime should have? Tapping his chin in deep contemplation, Hades came to a decision and stood from his dark metal throne before storming into the rather generous room he had provided the girl with. On the way into her room he had snatched a perfectly ripe blood colored pomegranate from a skull shaped bowl in a hall. Was this really a wise decision? What if it wound up bonding them more then he had actually intended? Cracking his knuckles as he clenched his hand into a fist Hades pushed open Grain’s bedroom door before clearing his throat. His leather gauntlet covered arm extended out towards the woman who seemed bemused with being there and held the blood colored fruit to her. What would her reaction be?
"I have come up with an idea where you will not be a total waste of space around here. Seeing as how generous that I truly have been with you I wish to offer a proposition to you, Wheat. In exchange for you having this humble room as well as anything else you need down here you will bow before me and follow me every will and command. If you choose this option—which I highly suggest that you do—life down here will be much easier. All it will take is one simple pomegranate and then you shall have all of your dreams come true. Just fear me, love me, and do as I shall have you your own slaves."
It was more then a generous offer to the woman he had killed but he could see potential in her eyes every time he looked at her. She could help keep the souls in line and if all else failed or she chose to decline his offer he could literally make her life a living hell. The choice was hers.
