"Is there a reason you're bothering me?"
| thefaithlessvessel |
♋- It figured the only time a college actually offered both courses they wanted to take, and the very weekend they managed a drive up to visit the campus, weird stuff started happening. Every student or two that came up had been given a dorm room to share with an existing student, but the morning after they’d settled in their temporary roomie had turned up dead. Something about being mauled?
They didn’t know what that meant exactly but it did make the both of them a little skittish about wanting to leave the room. What if it was an animal? Did they even catch it? It just cemented their worries about separating from each other’s side. Maybe they’d just wait the weekend out, get picked up and live in Pontiac forever.
There was a knock on the door, the both of them jumping, startled. With hands intertwined they crept towards the door with identical frowns. “Who is it?”
Deserted || thefaithlessvessel & shinyblackchevrolet
Im groaned, sun in her eyes as she walked along the side of the deserted road, gravel crunching underfoot while the duffle bag slung over her shoulder bumped along at her hip. It was hot, hotter than it had any right to be, and Im regretted the decision to head down to Arizona, her truck left in a steaming heap of useless metal three miles back.
This was ridiculous. Months of hunting monsters, killing things with claws and teeth, and she was going to be killed by the freaking sun. She glared at a cactus as she passed it by, adjusting the bag on her shoulder and following the line of the asphalt stretching out before her.
The Business || Dean & Ellie
The bar scenery unfolding before her was almost cliché, which disgusted her. Or it might have been the penetrant smell of mold that had her screw up her nose in an un-ladylike manner. She looked around taking in every detail from the drunkard in the corner singing quietly “I will Survive” to the perilous high bar stools. On one of said stools there was a man sitting fitting the description of Dean Winchester, that guy she was searching for.
Ellie walked over, sitting right next to him. Immediately the barman behind the counter stopped cleaning a tankard and turned around to face her. A greasy smile was plastered to his face as he asked for her order. Out of the corner of her eyes, she could see Dean drinking beer.
“I want the same”, she said nodding to the man next to her. That’s when she turned to the man she suspected to be Dean Winchester. Ellie had already caught his eye as she had sat next to him, as much she knew. "Dean Winchester?", she asked, not bothering to wait for his answer, scared he might try to conceal his identity. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but you must be someone who knew my father. Jared Jones was his name. He recently passed away, I’m sure you heard of it.” Jared Jones was indeed a hunter who recently passed away, but he wasn’t her father or familiar with her at all. It was his case that interested her, that had kept her occupied with research all night long.
The Hidden Truth || Closed
Weeks has passed since Dean came back from hell - Sam wasn't stupid. He knew that something cruel happened down there, and it affected his brother more than he showed it. Sam always got the same answers when he asked what happened, but he couldn't believe that Dean had no idea because he forgot it. No. He knew his brother more than anyone, and he couldn't deceive him.
A few days ago he decided to not to make him talk about it, but he started to be more and more worried about him. So now, he was planning to force Dean to tell him after they got back to the motel.
Sam let out a soft sigh and glanced at his brother. "Hey." He said to get his attention, "We have to talk."
Probably it wasn't the right time, but he didn't care anymore. He couldn't let his brother to face it all alone.

.. ..Hi...?
One Way Or Another || thefaithlessvessel
Months have passed, since the two of them first met up. First they didn't trust each other but a mutual enemy forced them to work together. Together they got rid of a group of bandits, who were raiding them on a weekly basis. Then the tree house came. They built it together sharing the vision of a safe place beyond the chaos. It wasn't hundred percent safe, but it was enough for them to find a good night's sleep.
Yet they never knew more about each other than names and maybe their daily routine, which they shared anyway. They did everything together, hunting, scavenging, cook. But as the autumn passed by and the nights got colder and colder, something occured that was bound to happen one way or another.
Huddled in the corner of their small place, there sat Carley wrapped in her sleeping bag. She hadn't got the chance to rest properly last night, coughing her throat sore. "Don't look at me. I don't want to scare the shit out of you" The woman croaked half-heartedly, as she noticed Dean's eyes open. She indeed looked like hell. Her eyes were red and glassy, and her nose shone bright pink in the pale sunlight, which broke through the small openings they called windows (they actually had used Carley's car windows for that).
"Maybe you could get me medicine and then we can go check the---" She coughed three times into her scarf. That didn't sound to good. "---traps."
Breaking Silence ⊰ Dean & Ivy ⊱
The barbed wire digs deeper into Ivy's flesh the more she struggles. Now, having this shit tied around her feet would be painful all on it's own, but it just so happens that this string of wire has also been soaked in vervain for god-knows-how-long. So not only is it consistently slicing her open, it's also burning her whether she's moving around or not. Sometimes being a vampire amounts to jack shit. What's the use of having supernatural strength and powers if a little bit of barbed wire dipped in crushed plant juice causes her to become immobile? If this were regular old barbed wire, she'd probably be free already. But it's not. Vervain not only burns her kind to the touch, it also severely weakens them when it enters their system. So long story short: She's completely screwed. She's alone, in the forest, in the dead of winter, early on a Sunday morning. There's no chance of anyone finding her for a good long time. "Fuck," she whispers angrily.
