If I may ask, how do you make your gifs, add text to them and stuff. Sorry if it's not relevant to anything you do.

I wrote a FAQ page about my GIF-making/editing. I'll copy the two questions that seem relevant to this one:

Q: How do you make your GIFs?

A: I have only just started actually making GIFs. The programs I use are KM Player, which is free, and Photoshop CS5. Not everyone can afford to buy Photoshop CS5, I am fully aware. So there is also this method using the free program Photoscape.

If you have issues using KM Player, or you want to view the three tutorials I’ve come by, please view this post here. There’s a tutorial for KM Player and Photoshop CS5, a tutorial for KM Player and Photoscape, and one only using Photoshop. There’s also a little bit of trouble-shooting for those of you trying to use KM Player but are getting an error about screencapping speed.

Q: How do you edit your GIFs?

A: Making GIFs is actually different from editing them. Again, I use Photoshop CS5 for my GIF editing, like I do for making GIFs. I wrote a tutorial that you can read right here.

Let me know if it’s confusing, I know my process has changed a bit since making that tutorial. But basically, that’ll give you all the details you need understanding some of Photoshop CS5’s key tools and how I go about changing the colors of GIFs.
