Shadows curled around his feet and basked before their master as he took his tangible form once more. These last months of hiding without true form had nearly erased the memory of the sensations of solidity but once obtained once more the Nightmare King remembered his fondness for it. Opening his palm as a leaf floated down in the dim twilight it landed soundlessly. Flexing his fingers and crushing it he felt satisfied with the pathetic crunch it made. It was good to be back. Golden eyes looked up at the moon which shone in the sky and grey lips curled up into a wicked smirk. " It seems it's time to dance once more old friend. I hope your toys are ready..." Turning on his heels, living shadows flowed along behind and flickered at his legs like dark flames as he walked back into the darkness. Before he would challenge any of dear Manny's pawns he had a few old companions it was time to reunite with....

Stiffening slightly, Jamie glanced around him, sensing something within the shadows. He didn't often walk home after dark, but he had to make an exception this time, and he was already regretting it.
"Hello?" he asked, wary.
