Want to achieve the ultimate state of creativity? Discover the Theta! The Theta brain wave is associated with dreaming and deep states of #meditation. If you've ever fallen asleep on the couch ๐ด, had a wacky dream, and then awaken to a snore or your head bob, you were in Theta. The Theta state is considered to be a very creative space to be in. Your mind detaches from processing external input and instead enters a flow of creativity, while simultaneously being extremely relaxed. So this sounds lovely, I know! ๐, but how does one get there? Easy, don't try and you will find your way. The strain of effort keeps the brain just outside of Theta. It may sounds confusing, but one must learn how to be still through practice, detach from thoughts, and allow the stream of consciousness to flow unobstructed by analysis. Fortunately, float tanks make this way easier by taking away external distractions. You'll find that your thoughts become front stage. As soon as you notice yourself following a thought, release it and go back to your breath. Focus on the sensations of air entering and exiting your nostrils. Do not try and breath a certain way, just allow your body to do that. Another thought grabs your attention, that's ok, don't be hard on yourself, instead, just let it go. It is completely possible to do great things with your consciousness while floating, but it can take practice.
