Adaire turned redder in the face as she wrapped her towel around herself a little tighter. "Piss off, creep. I just want to take a shower. Don't make it weird." she huffed irritably. How dare he order her around anyway.

Ah, y-yeah, sorry ‘bout that, there’s um, in this city, not a lot of closed spaces-- um, c-closed places, at least, that I could, easily, um... Eh, wait, that’s not right, I, I mean! I’m... I ask of you, what is your True Name?

Not even two minutes in and she’s already deferred to her Servant. Not much of a Master, is she?

The Elven Allure (closed rp)

Stepping out from the shadows of her little cottage, the young maiden drew her woven basket close as she turned to close and lock the door. Once she had made sure that her home would be secure against any wandering bandits, the fair-skinned woman approached the towering tree-line of the shadowy forest that surrounded her home. She stepped into the forest, unafraid of it's shadows and rustling leaves. Tree-dappled sunlight filtered through the leaves to warm small patches along the brunette's long, pointed ears that protruded from her silken curls as she ambled through the woods gathering berries, herbs, and mushrooms. Noticing a large patch of puffy white mushrooms, the elf casted a small orb of mage's light to illuminate the forest floor and knelt down to carefully begin her harvest, placing the mushrooms in a small satchel. As she worked, her ears perked at the sound of rustling leaves and snapping twigs. "Hello? Who goes there!" Called the elf as she turned to cup her light in her hands to extinguish it. Could it be a bandit? Or perhaps worse...? Grabbing her basket, she moved to carefully duck behind a large, hollow tree trunk to slip her basket inside.

The man raised a brow at the woman. Most people wouldn’t be so… accepting of an arranged marriage. But like she said, the threat of war was high. That probably played a major role in her calmness. “I see. Well, Charlotte, you’ll just have to try your best and if you fail I’ll try to guide you along the right path.” Though he left out the parts of punishment and sex. Probably for good reason.

He could try to explain her behaviour like that, but the truth was, Charlotte usually was calm, almost as if absent. The fact that she would be married to someone seemed not to bother her even a little bit. Of course she was not ready, but no-one would be in her situation. Nevertheless, she was not going to try to avoid what could not be avoided.

“I will try my best,” she repeated with a small nod. “Hopefully your guidance will not be necessary, though, but thank you for your kindness. Let me only ask, what do you expect of me as your wife?”
