Where was she taking him today? The Doctor held on tight, letting out a pleased laughed as the TARDIS bounced off the walls of the Time Vortex, feeling her spin, causing his stomach to turn like a the hands on a clock. He always got so excited about traveling, though it wasn’t as exciting as it was when he had a companion along with him, but he’d decided to go out on his own for a while, the Time Lord holding a lot of guilt about his past. It was safer this way, though, no one he cared about got hurt or put in danger. Even though he tried to keep them all safe, it just wasn’t safe to be around him. All the people that traveled with him were so brave and so smart, but bad things happened and sometimes he couldn’t control or fix them, such was the way with being immortal.
The TARDIS burst out of the time vortex and the Doctor looked at the scanner, his breath hitching. Cardiff. He hadn’t been to Cardiff in a long time, usually he avoid it because there was always the chance of knocking head with people like Torchwood - and usually Torchwood meant Jack Harkness, another wave of guilt went through him, but still The Doctor allowed the TARDIS to take him where he was needed, feeling her materialize and her engines power down. He stepped out of the TARDIS and looked around, raising his sonic screwdriver before he was locking the Old Girl and heading down the street, practically waiting for a sign of where to go, where he was needed.
Hearing a loud roar. The Doctor’s eyes lit up and he started to run in the direction where it had come from, the slender male rushing around the corner and finding himself face to face, almost with a Leonian (x) of all creatures. Where they here to invade Earth again?! He ducked in time to avoid the breath of fire directed at him, rushing aside in time to see a human hurrying towards them... Wait was that... It was Lily. The Doctor felt his hearts freeze in his chest, his throat locking up as he stared at the woman with watery eyes.
What was she doing here? How was she even- she hadn’t changed a bit. There was a lot of guilt and angery that simmered inside of him, not anger at her, but anger at himself for not helping her quickly enough. He’d been so worried about Amelia that he’d forgotten for too long and everyone Lily had known, forgot about her. He’d managed to save her, but it had been too late. He hadn’t seen her in so long and had even avoided her at all costs, knowing she was angry and likely even hated him. He hated himself.
“Watch out!” he called out to her just as the large Leonian turned and rushed the woman, his huge claws sweeping out at her aggressively. Leonians where large and powerful and it took a lot to deal with one. “He breathes fire!”

❝Oh, don’t be rubbish you cannot just walk in the middle of an invasion, like it’s some family reunion. You will get yourself ki.lled.❞ Clara called over the loud machinery voice as she tried to stop the girl in front of her. The TARDIS behind her was making high pitched noise that even Clara knew meant NOTHING good. ❝Come with me and we will solve this us, TRUST me.❞

She’s out of breath, tends to happen when something jams your traveling receptors and drags you right out of the time vortex, it stings. Like putting salt in a wound on accident because you had forgotten it was there.
“All right...” the woman said, holding her side, “You got my attention if this is what you wanted.”

While trying to pull Amy (and subsequently Rory and Lily) into helping him fly the Tardis, the Doctor wore a big and wide grin. Despite the Tardis being made with multiple pilots in mind, he was used to and could very well fly her on his own! But, why should he with his best friend(s) right there with him, perfectly able and willing to help!?
Although the stabilizers actually did their job, making it so that the people inside couldn’t feel their landing, they could all hear it. That familiar, hope-filled sound rang through the room before the Doctor stopped what he’d been doing. He didn’t say anything, just assumed all three of his friends would follow suit. If they didn’t, well, it wasn’t really going to change anything. They had arrived!
Amy, quite obviously, seemed very excited. Her Time Lord had promised them yet another adventure, somewhere she and Rory could actually check out together, on their own! What could be a better date than on another planet!?
The Doctor went and walked out of the doors first, excited to show the place off to his friends. “Welcome to-” Amy rushed out the door, pulling her boyfriend behind her as she went. The place was gorgeous with a baby-blue sky and matching (in shade) baby-pink-coloured grass. The suns were just past ‘noon’, from the looks of it, but still, both shined bright and big, a dark red to contrast with the sky. Yet, there was an almost softness, even, to them as well, despite their dark colour. Just about everything around seemed bright, soft, and nice.
The Tardis had landed at the beginning edge of a park. The benches all around, white in colour, were more rounded and circular than square or rectangle in shape like on Earth. There were people all about; all different-looking kinds of people from short to tall, to purple, orange, green, coloured people, to people who looked more like them (human). There were wide people and skinny people, old and young people. There were BBQs going on as well throughout the park. It was a holiday on the planet, which the Time Lord hadn’t gotten a chance to introduce properly.
The 4 of them had landed on the planet Stilara. It was a very peaceful planet and was more often populated by tourist/people visiting there on vacation or holiday as opposed to people who lived there all the time or worked there. But you’d still meet a local or two from time to time! There were small ponds across the huge park, one nearby had little kiddies swimming in it, being the perfect size and depth to get wet, play, and cool off, but still shallow enough to give their parents no worries. Most other ponds simply had small animals around them with a few humans feeding them. There were big tall trees (much taller than the average tree on Earth) scattered around as well. Their bark was an off-white and light grey colour, and their leaves a slightly darker shade of pink like the grass.
Amy shouted a quick goodbye to her Time Lord, letting him and her old friend know that she and Rory would be back later to celebrate with them after some couple-time. There would be Stilara’s version of fireworks in the evening, but until then (and even a bit after), most of the celebrating was in various groups in the park. The day was meant to be spent eating good food, meeting good and new people, maybe even playing a few games as well (which groups would break out every so often). Apparently, for Amy and Rory at least, that didn’t mean celebrating with the Doctor and Lily. At least not at first. They were gone, off doing their own thing and merging into the groups of people in the park, before he could even say a word to stop them.
He looked back at Lily. “Well then. Guess it’s just... you and me.”

“We need to reassemble the ship’s CAT.”
The woman face reflected just how ridiculous her statement sounded. “No, seriously. It stands for Common Artificial inTelligence, part of the computer’s User Interface. Don’t ask me who came up with that.”

As Missy fiddled with her vortex manipulator (it seemed to be on the fritz and landed her in Cardiff), she felt a pair of eyes on her. Her gaze slowly rolled up and met the stranger’s with a glare. “What?” She snapped, before sarcastically adding, “It’s the new Apple watch- they’re going for a new Steampunk look apparently.”
“How could this happen?”
“I’m still trying to figure that out,” the Doctor stated, “I don’t know for a fact yet.”
