✦ I R O N ✦ ✺ Iron is a two-process color. White fabric is first dyed yellow with myrobalan, and then washed with an iron solution. The color deepens before your eyes from yellow into a cool metal grey as it meets its first few breaths of air. ✺ Cooking up this color was a collaborative effort between us and our team in Bagru, powered by the traditional knowledge and trade of the Chhipa, a Rajasthani caste of dyers and printers. ✺ "Iron" defies the notion that grey is dull or boring! Both in its vibrant appearance, and the process of concocting it.
