The child doesn't even understand the context of the advertisements she speaks out against, her guardian doing all he can do keep her unaware of the Little Sister program that has become so prominent in the city. Maria barely even realises that she is ranting to a complete stranger, she's so caught up in her imagined offence. "And really, who are they to decide what girls can or cannot do?"

"Brava!" Sinclair applauded, offering the young singer a smile.  "That was a CAPTIVATIN' performance if ever I saw one, Miss Piper," the man added, offering her a little bow. "I must say, you do have a voice that rivals the angels."

He'd been to several of the young woman's performances, and he'd been enthralled each time.  It was easy to see why she'd been invited to the city, with a voice like that.

His chest is aching with every breath, each frantic and visible in front of his face as it mingles with the frigid December air. His lungs are crying out for rest, wetting his tongue with the metallic tang of blood, but Silas can’t stop moving. His legs carry him down the avenue with remarkable speed, dodging pedestrians and vehicles alike as he runs for what could very well be his life. He can hear his pursuer behind him, albeit a good fifty yards away. The man is relentless, and the southerner isn’t sure how much longer he can keep up dodging the cross-hairs on his back. 

A sudden grunt escapes as he bumps--no, slams--into another body. The impact knocks the air from his burning lungs, sending him wheezing and stumbling to the ground. Silas lands hard on his ass against the cold concrete, eyes batting wildly in terror and surprise. Where the hell did she come from? He could swear she appeared right out of thin air.

“What in the--”

He hasn’t time to think on it. Cobb instead looks up at her with pleading eyes, his heart pounding in tandem with the hunter’s approaching footsteps.

37. If you do read threads you aren’t in, do you usually let the other authors know, or keep it under your hat?

It depends!  I don’t necessarily tend to tell people “YO, I’VE BEEN READING YOUR THREAD WITH X PERSON,” but I tend to flail at people and tell them how awesome they are.  (And I very rarely wear a hat, so there’s that too.)

46. What’s your favorite thing about rping a long/para/novella style thread?

I tend to write a lot without actually saying anything, so it gives me a chance to actually say something when I’m writing.  XD  Also, the short things that I have tend to evolve into longer things, so if they start OUT long, then at least I know that it’s going to stay that way. XD

53. What’s a trope or plot you’ll never get sick of roleplaying?

The ass who cares about a FEW people, apparently. XD  But I love having TENSION between characters that are romantically involved (or not romantically involved); like, having a bit of push-back in a relationship, more than just sweetness and light.

Where do I even begin? Katherine Piper is one of the first OCs I ever interacted with here on tumblr, and one of my favorites after all this time. She & Hector have such an easy chemistry, and it’s a pleasure to explore it in a variety of verses. That’s another thing–I love how adaptable Katherine is when it comes to crossovers & AUs. I love how flexible the mod is in general when it comes to plotting & headcanons. Katherine’s personality is well thought out, too, and the mod’s attention to detail (especially when it comes to mannerisms) is something I really, really respect.

 I’ll admit that I stalk their threads with other mods because I adore their writing style. I can’t express enough how glad I am that they came off their extended hiatus, because having Katherine on my dash is a delight.
