1) Tea or coffee?
I actually like both. I like coffee in the mornings, and tea during the day. But I don't like cinnamon or spice teas of most sorts because they burn your throat which is the opposite of what tea should do. I like earl grey with lemon and honey like my aunt used to make.
2) Do you have any big plans for the coming months?
Well my family is sort of moving-ish. We're going to be living separated for the next three months, so next month it'll just be me and my brother in our house being responsible adults and nagging eachother to listen to/watch things the other hates. then my birthday and everything will switch, and somewhere in there I might get to road trip down to Texas. and then in July I'm going to DashCon and the Night Vale show so of course I'm super excited for that!!
3) Who is the fictional character you feel you relate to most and why?
I never really know. I don't necessarily really relate to many fictional characters because they all have defining elements and such and I just sorta...I guess I actually tend to draw more traits from fictional characters than I do try to project mine onto them if that makes any sense.
but anyway this question needs an actual answer, and my friends all tell me I'm basically Carlos the Scientist because I'm really awkward and totally enthralled by theoretical physics and astronomy, and I have a tendency to talk in large words and question basic tenets of existence.
4) Do you have any weird hobbies?
I don't know how weird it is, but I love to make playlists. all the time. for all sorts of random situations. I will give you an example: the top three playlists on my itunes are titled "living on a space station", "songs for when you get shipwrecked on a magical island under the stars", and "this music will make you feel like a knight in a fantasy realm"
5) What are you most likely to be found doing in your free time?
scrolling this website on my phone, writing wtnv fanfiction, knitting, or in more recent days sewing doll clothes
6) What was the last book you read?
the last book I read was actually re-reading Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marissa Pessl which is one of my all-time favorite books. but the last new book I read (am currently in the middle of) is Abarat: Days of Magic, Nights of War by Clive Barker. So far it's fantastic, which isn't surprising since the first Abarat is another of my all-time favorite books. (I even have a playlist based off it unsurprisingly)
7) Name the websites you are most likely to visit when on the internet.
basically Tumblr. and Ravelry. I have a blogspot where I actually write blog posts so I go there a lot too, but otherwise I really don't do much on the internet with regularity. usually researching conspiracy theories or reading "real" ghost stories or something random and intriguing. Oh and Netflix but I don't consider that internet since it's...okay I don't have a good reason for not considering Netflix a part of the internet.
8) Do you like LEGO?
of course I like Lego, I grew up building moving structures with my brother haha. the Lego movie kind of made my life complete.
9) What were you most into around this time five years ago?
Relient K and Super Smash Brothers: Melee. It is so sad that I didn't even have to think about this answer.
10) Why did you join tumblr?
I genuinely don't remember. I think maybe someone on ACC (now there's a throwback) had a thread about it and I signed up and followed everyone in the thread as was the point. Something like that anyway. I do remember being really bad at tumblr for a really long time, and I had a horrible theme, and at one point this girl I knew actually IM'd me specifically to tell me I didn't understand the point of this website. she'd be so disappointed now, since she was a soft grunge/hipster blogger and I am so very very not.
11) If a bus pulled up by you and you wanted to go somewhere different, would you take it if you didn’t know or care where it was going, provided you knew you would be able to go back to where you were afterwards? #wildlyirresponsibleidioticquestions
honestly I would take it even if I didn't know for sure I could come back. I feel like running away a lot, just hopping on a bus or a plane and seeing where I end up. back when I lived in the city, I would get an all-day train pass on the weekends and just go ride the public transit for hours without getting off because it felt like I was at least going somewhere.
wow this answer got deep.
but yes, I would because I want to explore new places. fingers crossed I might get to go to Australia next summer. and possibly Ireland in the fall.

7. What would you do if you opened your door and saw a dead body?
— i do not know. I’d probably examine the body, see if i recognize him or her. But it’d depend on the smell and what the body looks like, if its rotting or fresh (gosh i sound like a serial killer, im not btw). Of course I’d call 911.

— There was this one guy but I can’t think of his name. So, instead, I’ll choose my friend(s) for being strong. I know how easy it is to give up and they’re still here, fighting, and I’m proud of them for not giving up.

— no way. Living to watch all the people around me die is something I wouldnt be able to bear.

I collect a lot of things actually! I have a fossil collection (most of which I’ve found myself), a shell collection (my mom is big into shell hunting, there are shells in LITERALLY EVERY ROOM OF OUR HOUSE AND WE LIVE IN THE MIDWEST FOR GOD’S SAKE), a collection of all of the doodles I’ve done during school since freshman year that are neatly taped to my closet door, old skeleton keys (I have this ring of them that I got from this estate sale at this AMAZING old house on the edge of town), and I’ve recently gained a fascination with old music boxes since finding this gorgeous one at this little internet cafe/antique store on the island we went to on vacation this year. It plays the theme to romeo and juliet and is one of the coolest things I own! I really want to find more antique ones. 20. Do you believe in ghosts? How about aliens?Oooh I don’t know. I don’t believe in ghosts in the people-stick-around-after-they’re-dead sort of way, but I have seen and heard of some freaky supernatural stuff so WHO KNOWS. I do believe in demons though and that stuff can get really freaky. As for aliens, I do adhere to the whole ‘we can’t possible be the only life form anywhere ever’ mindset. But I highly doubt they’re bipedular things that have visited earth. Definitely give it a listen if you haven’t already! 47. What is the single best decision you have made in your life so far?Oh jeez I don’t even know. I feel like I’ve lost the ability to tell what a good decision is because the majority of last year was spent not making any decisions or taking on extra responsibilities or socializing and then getting angry at people that pestered me to do otherwise because through a series of ill-timed and unfortunate circumstances EVERYTHING and EVERYONE kept disappointing me and after a while I couldn’t handle it anymore and just sort of gave up (the psychological term for this is ‘learned helplessness’, as I learned recently).
