Should there be something good out of Glee, it'd be a quote that I have gotten the opportunity to feel: "being a part of something special, makes you feel special" Last night, we opened "CHOW: Making The Chinese American Restaurant" after two months of extensive work in building up this amazing exhibition. The amount of heart and passion poured into CHOW is outstanding, and I am very honored and beyond excited to be a part of this story of hardship and formation of an identity in foreign land through food. Looking into CHOW last night is a good reminder to myself on how important is food to shape an identity as a community despite pre-existing cultural perception and practices. It's BEYOND important for this story to be told.
