As a young gay man, I am continually learning about my history and its importance in shaping my life today • I am writing a paper on this, a paper on AIDS crisis and how we, as a community, responded with creating beautiful art that continues to be appreciated for decades after its conception • So for today, I bowed my head for Tony Kushner, Larry Kramer, William Finn, and countless artists and playwrights who have reconstructed the narrative around AIDS and empower the community to provide a better understanding to the what really matters: Love #WorldAIDSday #worldaidsday2016 (at The New School)

Had an amazing brunch on Sunday with @hartigo87 at @pigandkhao with my eyes glued constantly at their Sisig • Flavorful pig's face chopped up and seasoned, served on a hotplate. Scooped over garlic fried rice and I can see the enlightment • In short, I'm happy with pork -any pork really.. (at Pig and Khao)

Her Peggy was adorable and her Maria Reynolds was stunning, but tonight at @joespub, @jazzy_joness was incomparably beautiful as she dipped her toe into the waters of Beyonce, Timberlake, Prince and alike • Jones' voice was incomprehensibly mesmerizing on every single number from the twangy "Daddy's Lessons" to a soulful take of Solange's "Crane In The Sky" • I thought she was amazing, but tonight she surpassed that limit, brava! Turned down the plan of Trader Joe's turkey dinner for one at home for this Thanksgiving feast • What a year, what a year.. Still, I'm counting all of my blessings and be very thankful for what I've achieved so far • Here's to a happiest holiday and another year to be thankful for! 🍾🍷🦃

Should there be something good out of Glee, it'd be a quote that I have gotten the opportunity to feel: "being a part of something special, makes you feel special" Last night, we opened "CHOW: Making The Chinese American Restaurant" after two months of extensive work in building up this amazing exhibition. The amount of heart and passion poured into CHOW is outstanding, and I am very honored and beyond excited to be a part of this story of hardship and formation of an identity in foreign land through food. Looking into CHOW last night is a good reminder to myself on how important is food to shape an identity as a community despite pre-existing cultural perception and practices. It's BEYOND important for this story to be told. If you ever find yourself in New York City at any given weekend, please spend an hour with us and bask yourself with this story. #thefutureischow (at MOFAD - Museum of Food and Drink)

Here to flavor your timeline with a deliciousness that is @meatandsupplyco's Pastrami sandwich from last week's @hesterstreetfair • Orgasmically thick cut of pastrami with slather of tasty mustard topped generously with fresh dill and one of the tastiest pickles I've ever had • I'm distracting you now to grab Harry & Ida's pastrami ASAP! Had a chance to visit @swaleproject yesterday at Brooklyn Bridge Park and witness what the waterways can do to support urban agriculture movements • As a floating self-sustaining ecosystem on top of waterway, Swale opened up a new landscape of urban farming in cities like New York City • If you got a chance, stop by pier 6 and visit them! (at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6)
