    The peaceful air of a warm fall day at the lake was abruptly split by a ringing VWOM from high in the air above. The noise’s volume was hard to judge, as its pitch was so deep as to be felt more than heard; it rattled deep in one’s chest and sent visible ripples to shake the surface of the water. A bright flash resolved itself into the rapidly falling form of some large ethereal creature, its transparent form writhing as it sought to reorient itself. It had a long, eel-like body, and a mane of tendrils around its head gave it an almost dragon-like appearance.

    There was a human figure, too; a figure that was managing to cling to the tendrils behind the creature’s head despite its writhing. The human flung out an arm, and the speed of the fall slowed considerably… but creature and human both still hit the water hard, an enormous splash rising up as they disappeared below the surface.

As if some unknown cosmic force had willed it so. Otto was thrown in a random direction. Unfortunately, the flight was cut short as the automaton flies right into someone...it’s a good thing he’s so light. 

The automaton quickly gets up and dusts himself off, “Well that just happened...Oh hello!” He cheerfully greets, “Whatcha’ doing down there?”

“Big brother? What’s up?” It’s been a while since he’d seen Alexander. A few years now, wasn’t it? And what good timing! It was while he was cooking dinner, too. “Actually, wait, can you come into the kitchen? I can’t leave the sauce alone for very long. It’ll burn.”

       Out of sheer boredom, and more than likely, loneliness, the villain dipped his toe into the world of dating. None of his two dates he had went well. Enough that he actually went out and murdered said dates. Now, he was trying once more. It seemed him and his date would meet when it got dark out. Fine by him. He headed out into town to wait for the other. Neatly dressed up, even if the date was agreed to be a walk in the park.

“...I have a perfectly good explanation for this. I was trying to melt butter for the kids’ popcorn.” Clearly it didn’t work out; The scorch marks and burnt pan said enough on their own.

There's a sigh of relief from Robert. He's in the clear...so he thinks. "For a second there, I thought you had the memory of an elephant. Never change Loki. Never change."

Nevermind that the knight is hanging upside down and tied up with rope. He has gotten himself into quite the predicament.
