Say, have you ever heard of a group called "Gotan Project"? They came up on one of my Pandora stations the other day and I think that you may enjoy them. They do a sort of tango-meets-electronica thing; maybe try looking up "Diferente", that was their first work I heard.
ah yes. the “Electro-tango”! there’s other groups like “Bajofondo”, “Tanghetto” and “Narcotango” I think. the guys from Gotan Project are French’s that tries to do that kind of tango, but I personally don’t enjoy it. it is a different way to do it and a nice one of course. it could even attract young people to the genre, just like Piazzolla and Pugliese did with their passionate and marcatto styles respectively. but I think it doesn’t suit my sensibility at the moment. I’d like to recommend you to listen to Osvaldo Belmonte and Pablo Mainetti for some nice “non-electronic” contemporary tango. Thanks for your message Your Highness Gray.

Exciting! When do you think that you’ll move, if you sign the lease?
Probably around August 15th! We had to find something for earlier than that because the NYC apartment market moves about two weeks in advance of move in date, so there was no way to get this place for any later. So the apartment will sit empty (at least my part will, I don't know what my room mate's plans are) until I move, but it was just too good a deal to pass up, and the relief of having found a place is worth it, honestly.
