It had been a long few weeks since the infamous staff party that occurred, and Laurence had since tried to keep himself as busy as possible. Between work at the pier, working on his reels, and taking some time to fly home for his niece’s birthday; he purposefully tried to keep himself from overthinking. He had tried to figure out exactly what had happened at the party, but he always failed to find the reasoning in it.
It took all the courage he could muster to invite Garrett over to his apartment. It had been a while since he’d seen his friend, and Laurence desperately needed to discuss what had happened with him. It didn’t take long until he heard a knock and quickly approached the door. Unable to help the smile spreading when he spied his friend, and immediately starting to ramble, “Garrett! Sorry I haven’t been around much. Lots on my plate right now and, uh, a l-lot on my mind.”
Laurence motioned for the broader man to enter his humble abode, licking his lips before daring to ask, “So, how are you feeling? Been busy for you too?”
