Dinner has been completed, and everyone survived. Step 4...complete...sort of. Once again, we needed to improvise. The corn casserole spilled over the side of the dish and hit the bottom of the oven. The smoke monster that grew was frightening. The result: Two exhaust fans on high Every window in kitchen open Another fan blowing smoke toward the window Taking the hallway smoke detector down, then taking the battery out, so the approaching cloud would not trigger it and wake @scrapsbygracie Everything has been taken care of and we are wrapping things up. Step 3...complete Vegetables and mushroom stuffing are done...cornbread and green bean casseroles are now in the oven. The turkey smells really good. :) My line cook has arrived and is doing a decent job. If she continues the effort, I may promote her to sous chef. Step 2...complete Baby potatoes, squash and teeny-weeny carrots (so cute) drizzled with olive oil, salted/peppered. The turkey and vegetables are now in the oven at 450° (I like crispy skin).
