Did anyone else notice that in the first three episodes with Clara the villain was always some micro-intelligence-organism?

Asylum of the Daleks: There are microorganisms called the "nano cloud" that are taking over people's minds and turing them into Daleks. Clara also keeps repeating "Where am I?" when she is being cornered by the Daleks.

The Snowmen: Microorganisms called the "Great Intelligence" are creating evil snowmen that are eventually able to take over Simeon's mind. Simeon was the creator of the Great Intelligence Institute, which the Doctor says sounds "familiar". As it turns out, the Great Intelligence first appeared in Season 5 of Classic Who. x

The Bells of St. John: Microorganisms are in the Wifi and are able to take over the minds of the workers at The Shard. It is also revealed that the leader of the Wifi attack took the form of Simeon, or the "Great Intelligence". Once the people are downloaded, they keep repeating "I don't know where I am." Sound familiar?

Is it possible that these organisms are the same things in different time periods?
