Where Adrien and Bridgette are close… the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is them as friends, crushes could end up a touchy matter with them. Could work, but definite issues with Bridrien as a ship.
I’ll ramble below of what I picture for Bridrien.
As partners, ultimately I see them getting along, like Marinette and Felix, they have matchings traits that allow them to understand and relate to one another, like being close and personal in a fight, moving with what you’re feeling, and set on your goals and desires. Bridgette would probably relax a lot more, fine just having fun and being able to move and just race along Paris, allowing her and Adrien to relax and goof off more. Plus both were very eager and excited and happy to be heroes, that’s another thing that they can relate too.
Despite this, I don’t think them as a hero duo would be too strong. Both of them would really struggle since neither really look for other options in a fight, they both just focus on what’s ahead of them and don’t look for other possibilities around them. Neither do well planning out the best course of action which can be a big set back for them as a hero duo. One thing that has Marinette and Adrien working so well as a team is the factor that one is the planner and one is the initiator, one thinks with her head and the other acts with his heart.
Actually, out of all of them, Marinette’s a bit of an ace in the hole, able to plan and act as needed, she’ll charge in when she needs to and step back when she needs to. Felix is another planner, but unlike Marinette, he is more cautious and more inclined to stay out of the heat of fight while Marinette is more than willing to take risks with herself to reach her goals. And that little detail there is how Felix and Marinette can be a solid team together, both are thinkers, but Marinette is still more action driven than Felix, who is more cautious and wary to get too deep in the action.
Anyway! For Adrien and Bridgette being close and getting along, the best option I can propose for them is either platonic Ladynoir and/or mutual crush, for either hero or civilian sides. Now with crushes involved on different sides of them, that’s where things get less appealing.
Adrien has a crush on LadyBri and she has a crush on Adrien, good chance that just like in PV, she would brush off Chat Noir, make her disinterest in him very clear. From my impression of Bridgette and what I see of concepts, I find she’d be a lot less patient with Chat’s flirtations than Marinette, especially when she has her heart set on another boy. I can see Chat being very disheartened by this.
Now Adrien’s view of Bridgette, if he has a crush on LadyBri and Bridgette has a crush on him, I can’t see their interactions being a good one. Bridgette with a crush, she embodies the unnerving trope of “if I keep pursuing them, they’ll eventually say yes”. She ignores the no, she invades personal space, she doesn’t care if her crush isn’t interested or irritated with her, she’ll just keep pursuing them. For Adrien, this will be very uncomfortable, Bridgette could easily join Chloe and Lila in making Adrien uncomfortable in invading his personal space and giving him the attention he doesn’t want. And unlike Felix, Adrien has a hard time saying no, even when he’s uncomfortable, which adds to a very likely idea that Adrien would make huge efforts to avoid Bridgette as much as possible.
I can easily see a set up where Bridgette could wind up pressuring him into dating her.
For Bridrien, I say mutual crush is the way to go for this ship. They’ll have issues to work through, but in comparison to crushing on two sides of the mask, this could be the healthiest approach for them. Not entirely healthy, but the healthiest set up they have.
Bridrien would be the opposite of Felinette development wise, where Felinette is a real slowburn from not getting along, to being friends, to more; Bridrien would just jump right in and then face the issues later. They’d truly be young and dumb love.
If they both mutual crushed on each other, they would date immediately, as soon as it was clear that they were both interested; they’d focus on having a lot of fun together and goof off and just enjoy that bliss of dating. But of course, that bliss fades and issues arise. Adrien will need to learn to stand his ground, make his no mean something, and not be pushed over by Bridgette’s wants; and Bridgette herself will need to learn to listen and be more considerate of her crush, it can’t be all about her wants, and by what’s shown of her pursuing Felix in earlier concepts, that does appear to be all that Bridgette cares for, what she wants, nevermind her crush’s personal feelings or comfort.
That’s actually the biggest issue for Bridgette for any ship, learning to compromise and be considerate of her partner. If she’s able to learn to listen and back off, that’s where her potential can come in.
So, where Adrien and Bridgette are close, best set up I say is them being friends, no romantic feelings between them. Romantic, the best set up I see is a mutaul crush on each other, with them both learning to work through their issues.
In a scenario where Felix and Adrien are just classmates, how would their interaction between them be?
As classmates, they’d be pretty neutral to each other. And probably wouldn’t interact much with each other on their own.
Both of them are introverted, though Adrien is more sociable and likes to have company. Actually, a good way to describe them is that they’re like ice and water. Felix can be still, distant, awkward, and just wants to focus on his own thing and be left alone in peace. Adrien though is more flexible, open, animated, friendly, and likes to be near people.
I can see Adrien reaching out to talk to Felix time to time, but the conversation between them probably wouldn’t get too far or go on for too long, and it’d lead to Adrien not actively pursuing to spend time with Felix.
And Felix, with much of the concept art portraying him alone, is a loner that isn’t going to actively pursue spending time with anyone unless he really likes them or wants too. Adrien doesn’t jump out at me as someone Felix will immediately become friends with.
So over all, they would be neutral to each other. Classmates that, on their own, probably wouldn’t interact too often.
Though I can see them having some issues too that could add to the distance.
Adrien wouldn’t like how cold and dismissive Felix is, would remind Adrien of his father. May even lead to Adrien avoiding Felix a bit due to that similarity. And Felix wouldn’t be impressed with how naive and trusting Adrien is, may even think of him to be a bit of a doormat. And being friends with Chloe would surely not appeal to Felix either.
For these two to become solid friends, I feel they’re going to need an outside source to help them become friends, cause on their own, I don’t see them getting too far.
