The Grip Taper

Months, weeks, days. I am not the same guy. It took a while before I knew. Maybe I needed space. A year ago, I was so determined to be in the game. A game of trying to prove something I can be good at. I knew I was not ready but I insist that I am. Why would one feel afraid and unsure? When allowing yourself to make mistakes and be challenged can be an experience.

Getting up early in the morning doing your day job and going home at night, which is much better than getting stuck — unyielding. It took sometime and a lot of getting used to in front of an office desk, receiving a lot of emails and undergoing a lot of interviews. But one day, I asked myself. “Is this really what I want?” And it took a while before I realize it was not. The questions came after another and another…”Where’s that guy who wants to explore? To go places? To help out people? To speak up for those who cannot? Where’s that little boy who always thinks he can do something for someone?”

Gone? No.
