I have something controversial to share. I am kind of over “abraca-fuck-you”. Like it was pretty funny the first time I heard it but now people parrot it so much and it’s lost all its power. Its main funniness was kind of like the shock value of it. Lots of other really great jokes I love hearing again and again but that one has lost all its sparkle for me

I get unreasonably mad about the whole macaroon/macaron thing. Every time I hear that part of balance my blood pressure raises. And its been awhile since I listened to the TTAZZ for that bit but I remember Justin makes some flippant comment about it and I’m like I’m gonna hulk out

I like macarons but tbh their expensiveness/effort does not align with their taste to me. They’re pretty good but not THAT good. I fucking love macaroons. Especially when they have chocolate. They’re like this soft pillowy pile of coconut-ness and I fucking love coconut. I will not take the slander people give to them.

If I was crazier than I am now and had any technical skill I would find a way to edit that episode to make Taako say macaron instead of macaroon bc I am that heated about it

🚨Hater Post🚨

The rant below is not that deep. I am just releasing some demons.

I enjoy the taz graphic novels but they are like just a slight step above a fanart/AU to me. Those books are not canonical. They are fun, but they are not true taz balance.

So, if someone has read the books but not listened to the podcast they are Not a true taz fan. They do not know the full story and have not gotten all the stuff that really matters that makes taz taz.

It’s fine if the books were your introduction but if you just read the books and have no plans to listen ever you cannot call yourself a taz fan.

In fact, here is my tier list of fan titles:

Only read GNs: Potential fan (not fan yet) Listened to all of Balance: Fan (bare minimum) Listened to Balance and Amnesty: Fan Deluxe Listened to those + Graduation + any others: Ultimate Fan Listened to all of it + keeping up with it: True Fan™

If you’ve listened to some other order you’re on thin ice depending on your motivations. But generally listening to any two will give you a probationary Fan Deluxe status, and listening to three or more will give you Ultimate Fan status. I do have pretty strong feelings about listening in chronological order though so I will be a little bit miffed about it.

If you skipped Graduation because you’re a little bitch about Travis DMing then you’re automatically demoted down to the graphic novel level until you atone. Graduation is the trial of fire that forges true fans. (And I say this as a genuine lover of Graduation.)

Also I do not count the bonus content in my True Fan™ package, because being a True Fan™ does not have to be paywalled. I have been a maxfun member for awhile and I haven't even gotten around to listening to all the boco lol.

So that theory or whatever you want to call it about the voice at the beginning of Balance episodes being Junior? I cannot stand that shit. That is not part of my world. The voice is just a voice or maybe it’s Jeffandrew or maybe its just Griffin. I don't care. It’s not the baby voidfish. I do not like it. I do not see it. Keep that theory away from me.
