Changes for 1.8!
The server is going through some big changes with the 1.8 update.
To start with, the server is currently running Vanilla Minecraft 1.8 on a brand new map! We know some of you may have been attached to the old map, we were too, but we felt it was time for a fresh start. The seed for this new map was carefully selected to have a good selection of biomes for you to explore close to spawn. I have included a map at the bottom of this post to show some of the biomes you can find near spawn.
We will be running Vanilla Minecraft until updated Bukkit plugins become available, and until that time the server will be whitelisted. If you played on the server before then please ask us if you wish to be added to the whitelist, so that you can play before we get plugins again!
Another big change is that we will no longer be using Towny. Instead we will be giving players more locks with the LWC plugin, so that individuals have more control of their land. Players' houses will be closely monitored and any players found to be breaking into others' houses to get around locked doors will be punished.
We will also be holding a vote to decide whether we will keep MCMMO or not, this is because we have not heard many players' opinions on this plugin and would like to know how many people like it. Details on the voting process will be posted soon.
