Do people even realise the origins of rock? 🤷🏾♀️ For most of my life I felt like I wasn’t a “proper black girl” because I didn’t speak a certain way, act a certain way, dress a certain way. I was cast out as the weird black girl who wanted to be white. 🙄 No, I’m a black girl who like rock, I’m not any less black because of this.
