Heaviest Quints
It was reported that quintuplets weighing 25 lbs. were born on June 7, 1953, to Mrs. Lui Saulien of Checkiang province, China. A weight of 25 lbs. was also reported for quints born to Mrs. Kamalammal in Pondicherry, India, on December 30, 1956. They all died shortly afterwards.
Hunger Strike
The longest recorded hunger strike was one of 94 days by John and Peter Crowley, Thomas Donovan, Michael Burke, Michael O’Reilly, Christopher Upton, John Power, Joseph Kenny, and Sean Hennessy in Cork Prison, Ireland, from August 11 to November 12 in 1920. These nine survivors owed their lives to expert medical attention.
