Thank you so, so much. I do appreciate all the support I have gotten for this story. I don’t want everyone to think it’s all hate all the time. So many people have reached out with nice things to say, too. I really appreciate every reader I get more than I can say.

Does any of us really know what we are doing?

I suppose not, but I read a lot of fanfiction and I can tell the difference between my writing and some of the other stuff I read. I’m not a professional writer by any means, and I’m sure I’m not exploring these topics to the depth they could be. I’m just writing a fun and semi-angsty love story that I think I would enjoy reading.

That’s so frustrating. I feel like a lot of universities don’t always see the merit in liberal arts programs, and it’s such a shame because English departments have such wonderful professors and produce well-rounded graduates… Seriously awful.

It really is. I mean, I know English students aren’t the ones to find cures for diseases or build cities or solve global warming, but it’s a form of art and a huge part of our culture. Besides, literary magazines/journals are spiking in popularity and people are consuming so much literature nowadays thanks to new technology, so it’s not like they’re prepping us for an unfulfilling life of poverty. But, above all, this is what so many people love to do. And they’re just discouraging hundreds and hundreds of students from being passionate. I really don’t see how letting go of incredible, inspiring instructors will better the whole university.
