Love her passion & support for the Arts @sara.dalton.944 ❤️ #Repost @sara.dalton.944 (@get_repost) ・・・ I have so much love for the incredible hard work Barney (the benefactor-pictured) @agaszot @kevinbohanart @maximillistart and the rest of the volunteers at #theiconfactorydublin in #templebar are doing with the shop, the artist's studio and #theiconwalk which is their cultural walking tour around Temple Bar alleyways, onto which they have painted murals alongside historical commentary to create #thegreateststoryeverstrolled. It was heartwarming but bittersweet to reconnect last Friday for #culturenightdublin. Barney might just have burst me out of my rêverie of writer's block. (I interviewed him for a feature article I wanted to write 5 years ago but was too scared to submit it anywhere so Barney eloquently asked me on Friday "where the fuck is it?". I'm going to have to overcome this lack of confidence in my ability to write for the greater good. This authentic not-for-profit artist's cooperative, the Icon Factory, has received NO funding from the Irish Government in its 7 years of "soul crushing" applications and campaigns to @artscouncilireland @dublincitycouncil @cultureireland etc. It is heartbreaking stuff #supportthearts @oireachtas_news. A big giant thank you to the generosity of @IPB_Insurance and @theirelandfunds, both private organisations, for supporting my friends. Hopefully our own Dáil might follow suit in the interest of #ECOC2020 @creativeireland (at The Icon Factory)
