You, my friend, are amazing. The passion you bring to this job is real and I have enjoyed moving through our first years of teaching together. It took me a heck of a long time to get you to stop calling me Momma Kat (which was funny because definitely not maternal and also I’m only like an hour older than you or something), but I think that corresponded with your view of yourself as a teacher — it has been such a gosh darn absolute pleasure to watch you become the you that you are today over the past several years. Your students are beyond lucky to have you.

When are we going to share a beer and tacos? Say soon or else.
