2019 was a year full of joy, growth, challenges, and new beginnings. Here are some scattered highlights. 1. A lovely painting of me from @emkaydraws 2. Seeing @panicatthedisco for the first time in a decade. 3. Recording the toughest scene of #TheAMArchives 4 & 5. Celebrating my beautiful best friend @megfitz89 as her first episode of @cw_supernatural aired and she hit the big 3-0 6. Watching my best boy @briggon prepare for his wedding to the perfect @jbernard357 7. @jordanadika serving looks as my right hand and dear friend 8. During the pre-pandemic days, I swear I could read books like this in three days tops because this book is simply “unputdownable” (if that’s even a word). . This is not your classic Nerd-Loves-Jock kind of romance, for the protagonists have more character in them than the other books I’ve read. . Not only does this book has “supernatural abilities” embedded into the story, but it also tackles mental health issues such as bullying and depression. The latter could be triggering for some because Lauren has made quite a description for it that it made me feel like I’m going through it as well. . Beautiful, on-point, and has a lot of cute moments that could potentially give your stomach some butterflies. This is such a wonderful novel debut if I could say so for myself. . P.S. Hey do you like feelings? Do you like characters talking about feelings in various metaphors? Do enjoy assigning colors to feelings? Then “The Infinite noise” may be just up your ally. You got Caleb who is in *cough* year of high school when he suddenly develops the ability to feel other people’s emotions so strongly that they tend to block out his own. Caleb then finds out he is what is known by some as an Atypical. Then Caleb meets Adam, who’s feelings seem to fit very well with Caleb’s own emotions. This starts a rocky cautious friends into something more kinda of relationship. There is also a vague maybe evil background organization that does pretty shady things to Atypical’s, but they don’t play a super major roll in this book. So unless there is a second book I’m not really sure why they were even really mentioned. It was the only thing that kinda bothered me about this book. If had just been a cute boy meets boy with special powers fluffy kinda book I’d have been more then ok with it. Just the adding of the maybe evil organization just had a tacked on at the last minute kinda vibe to it.
