About last night: two years ago my business partner Andrea and I started @tbdeyewear with nothing and five years earlier I had launched #TheBespokeDudes with even less. Everybody is good at believing in a project when it's profitable, the hard thing is to believe in something at the very beginning and to fight the social prejudice by listening only to your inner voice. This is why last night I was thrilled to reunite so many elegant friends in their tuxedos, for the first edition of #TheInfluencersDinner hosted along with my friend Davide, founder of @coastsociety @perrierjouet and Famiglia Antinori. "Life is all about the people you meet and the things you do with them", I could not agree more. Grazie e ad maiora ••• About last night: due anni fa io e il mio socio Andrea abbiamo lanciato TBD Eyewear con niente e cinque anni prima nasceva The Bespoke Dudes con ancor meno. Tutti sono bravi a credere in un progetto quando é profittevole, la difficoltá sta nel credere in qualcosa di appena nato, superando il pregiudizio sociale attraverso l'ascolto della propria anima. È per questo che ieri sera ero sinceramente emozionato per aver riunito così tanti amici nei loro eleganti smoking per la prima edizione di #TheInfluencersDinner, grazie al prezioso e imprescindibile supporto del mio amico Davide, fondatore di Coast Society, a Perrier Jouet e alla famiglia Antinori. "La vita é incentrata sulle persone che incontri e sulle cose che fai con loro", non potrei essere più d'accordo. I ran out of words to describe how delighted @tbdeyewear and @coastsociety have been to host the first edition of #TheInfluencersDinner, so I just limit myself to share with you this video, the digital proof of an analogic and touching memory of my life. Thank you for being part of it. ••• Accadeva una settimana fa: trentasei invitati, nei loro vestiti da sera o smoking, si riunivano presso l'esclusivo piano nobile del Palazzo Antinori per celebrare una visione discreta dell'eleganza, degustando le creazioni di uno chef stellato, abbinate a champagne Perrier Jouet e vini della Cantina Antinori. Esaurite le parole per descrivere quanto noi di TBD Eyewear e Coast Society siamo stati felici nell'organizzare questa prima edizione di The Influencers Dinner, mi limito solo ad aggiungere che se - come dicono - nella vita bisogna contare i momenti piuttosto che gli anni, questo video é la prova digitale di un prezioso ricordo analogico, che conserverò con cura nei cassetti della mia memoria. “Being an entrepreneur means having characteristics that many people might consider inappropriate or disadvantageous, perhaps because they simply are not meant to become entrepreneurs.” A more apt definition could not better describe my dear friend Fabio Attanasio, who has managed to climb the ladder of success from the very bottom to the top with elegance, savoir faire and without ever losing sight of the things that truly matter. This is why I congratulate him with deep respect for the important milestone reached at the #TheInfluencersDinner last night. A special evening organized in the magnificent Palazzo Antinori, a symbol of a mixture of history, tradition and modern reality, exactly like his #TheBespokeDudes blog. It is true that in life no matter where your journey starts, it is the path you take that determines where you arrive, because, as they say, fortune favors the brave. Ad mairora, my friend. ••• "Essere imprenditore significa possedere caratteristiche che molte persone potrebbero considerare sconvenienti o svantaggiose, forse perché semplicemente loro non sono destinate a diventare imprenditori." Beh, mai frase fu più azzeccata per descrivere la storia del mio amico Fabio Attanasio, che partendo dal gradino più basso è riuscito a salire fino in cima con eleganza, savoir faire e senza perdere di vista le cose che contano. È per questo che mi congratuolo con grande stima per l'importante traguardo raggiunto con la #TheInfluencersDinner di ieri sera. Una serata speciale organizzata nella magnifica cornice di Palazzo Antinori, giusto simbolo di un mix tra storia, tradizione e moderna realtà, proprio come il suo blog #TheBespokeDudes. E' proprio vero che nella vita non importa da dove si parte, ma il percorso che si intraprende è il modo in cui si arriva, perchè, come si dice la fortuna aiuta gli audaci.
