Zhongli: during the fight, he’ll try and keep you safe bc he is shield man ofc. but on the chance that you leap out of his protection and fight, he won’t stop you. but if you get hurt, oh NO. He will not take it lightly. He will care for you until you’re completely healed and 100% sure you can function on your own. A little overbearing, sure, but he doesn’t want you to hurt yourself more. He kinda blames himself for not pulling you back or protecting you better, but he understands that injuries happen. He just worries that you’ll get hurt too bad one day :(
“my dear glaze lily… please be more careful. I don’t want to lose you… Let me protect you.”
Xiao: oh lord,,,,, kinda like zhongli he will not take to kindly to you getting injured. If he isn’t there during the fight, he’ll scold you for not calling him while he bandages your wounds and makes sure you’re ok. If he’s there, god please don’t try to fight bc he will continue to put you behind him and guard you like you were an archon yourself. If somehow you get past him and get hurt, oh honey he’s gonna be so hard on himself. He really wants you to be safe, so seeing you get hurt WHILE HES THERE? He’ll think it’s his fault. But he’ll finish the fight and get you to safety, bandage your wounds and kiss them better yknow <3 he will give u an earful about no staying behind him though.
“What-! What happened!? You idiot, I told you to call me if you needed help! *sigh*… Come here.”
Hu Tao: now listen, it’s all fun and games until someone she cares about gets hurt. You come back from adventuring all beat and bruised and she’s just walking out of the funeral parlor and she sees you? You’re getting dragged inside and bombarded with questions about what happened. No jokes here, no sir, she’s so serious about this because she can’t stand every wince and painful look you give. It hurts HER bc she loves you and wants you to be safe and sound and you aren’t. If she’s there, literally just sit back, bc she’ll argue with you to make sure she does the fighting. She will not allow the chance of you getting hurt. She want u to fight bc she thinks it’s hot, but if there’s a chance of you getting mortally wounded, just, don’t.
“Oh- come on, come on! Let me bandage you before your wounds get infected. What happened? How bad does it hurt? Ooh, if only you took me with you, dummy!”
Xingqiu: Hes very supportive of you fighting for Justice along side him, and he knows you can protect yourself. He’s not ultra protective over you on the battle field, but that doesn’t mean he won’t worry. each heavy blow dealt to your precious body is like a paper cut on his heart. Its nagging and it bothers him to no end. Once the enemy is taken care of, he’ll do a full check up just to make sure you’re completely ok and healthy. Arm hurts? Tell him and he’ll start worrying his head off. Slight bruising? He’s already got the med kit on hand!
“Just to make sure… you’re ok right? No pain anywhere? If you need a rest, we can stop somewhere. I’ve got some snacks if you want!”
