what will all the racism, homophobia, trans phobia, misogyny, sexism etc… it was a hard time period to live in. however, don’t forget all the good that came from that time period too. the style, cars, music, medical and technological advancements the whole shebang. I’m not saying the 50′s where the best, but if you think about it and change your perspective, you’ll realize that we wouldn’t be where we are today without all that racism, homophobia, sexism etc…
today, we are living a better life because we were able to overcome our past and learn from it.
so no, the 50′s were not simple, no time period ever is. however, how people thought back then was a lot simpler then it is now. and that’s a good thing.
