My students take their very first BIG test tomorrow. I have so many opinions on this subject, but I told my kiddos not to stress, and just do their best. It's not a grade, it's what we call in our room a "show what you know" test, which means they work hard and try hard, and they don't get to say "I don't know," instead they say, "This is new or different, but I'll give it a try." It's a super long test and the 1st of 4, and even though I can't talk to them during testing, I will make sure they can see my face encouraging them and my thumbs up cheering them on. This is a lot for these little 8 & 9 year olds, but they never cease to amaze me. With all that being said... these next couple of weeks are going to require a lot of caffeine on my part! #teacherlife #thejoysofroom13 #testingseason #mykiddosrock
The leprechauns visited us again this year, and these kids had the BEST reaction of any class I've ever had! They were truly amazed and couldn't believe all the things those naughty leprechauns had done to our room. We also celebrated St. Patrick's Day with some Lucky Charms math.
