Red string of fate.
Our muses are destined to fall for each other in an art gallery
Despite the fact Loki adored art, he'd surprisingly been to few Midgardian art galleries. Perhaps it was because he just couldn't find the time or maybe it was because it never really crossed his mind to visit one, but either way, in the entirety of eight years he'd been here he'd only been to a total of two galleries, one of which was local and small and probably barely counted much at all.
So he took the initiative the next free day he had and visited one nestled within the heart of New York City. Thankfully, he'd picked a day of the week where it would be less busy, thus the place was mostly empty aside from one or two stragglers he happened upon in a specific part of the building. It was quiet, but not an unsettling quiet, nor the kind of quiet one finds in libraries. It was almost peaceful, relaxing, and it added to the paintings he paused to study.
While he had seen plenty of stragglers thus far, typically they were accompanied by another or several others. As far as he was aware, he was the only one in the entire building who was looking at paintings by himself. This thought swam in his mind for some time until he spotted another, seemingly without a companion by her side, in the section of Egyptian art. She was standing quietly by a painting of Anubis, the Egyptian God of death, with a hand on her chin and a thoughtful look in her eye.
For a moment, Loki thought it best to leave her be and not say a word, but something tugged on him to say something. If she didn't return the conversation, she didn't, oh well. But if she did, perhaps he could make a new friend.
"I hear Anubis is quite the gentleman," he murmured softly once he'd neared her and, briefly, she turned to glance at him, curious, before a smile spread across her face and she turned back to the painting.
"He is. I've met him."
