I have a friend that was a competitive swimmer, and during the summer we would swim in a murky lake and he would stay under the water and playfully grab at me and my friends ankles to freak us out. It was really funnyXD I would imagine the boys playing around like that with their girls haha

I can also imagine them freaking the girls out (by ‘them’ I mean Mikey) by staying under water for ages. Seeing as they were mutated from terrapins I see them being able to stay (maybe even ‘breath’) under water for long periods of time. First time the girls go swimming with them, i can see them getting a little worried.

Also, imagine: Raph ‘lurking' in the water, doing what male alligators do and peer out of the water and “bellowing”. He’s such a sexy alpha male, asserting his dominance haha.

As for the reaction… probably not so good initially. I mean they’d warm up to it, yeah, but there would be a lot of talk about responsibility and his ability to continue to be a trained ninja and that whole slew of concerns. But I mean, there’s no going back so they might as well all get used to it. Because as soon as the little tot was born it would ’LEMME SEE LEMME SEE IS IT CUTE WHAT’S IT LOOK LIKE CAN I HOLD IT MIKEY WHY IS IT CRYING MAKE IT STOP DOING THAT WHAT’S ITS NAME’. Yeeaahh.

I can't get enough of your daddy!turtles headcanons! They are so cute! What do you think each of the boys would be like/thier thoughts when they were handed their baby for the first time? I could imagine them not being able to fully absorb the fact that they made the little munchkin :)

Leo - His poor heart would be nothing but a squishy pile of fatherly goo. and it would be so cute because he’d try really hard to be all manly and Leo about it, but he’d still have this stupid grin on his face like “Wow I made a little turtle baby it’s adorable and it’s mine and I helped.”

Raph - I think Raph would be similar to Leo, but he wouldn’t bother trying to hide anything, he’d just grin and rub her little cheeks in circles and let her paw at his face while he snuggled with her. Then he’d look up and see everyone looking at him and he’d just glare. “Shut up she’s cute!”

Mikey - For the very first time, he’d be a nervous wreck. He’d be absolutely captivated with the little tiny turtle tot in his hands and all he’d be able to do is stare with a small smile, amazed that he finally was able to do what Donnie had told him was impossible.

Donnie - I think this would be the moment where he really understood that he had been wrong and that everything he said that wasn’t possible was staring him in the face, grabbing for attention. I can see him just curling into a ball around her and whispering to her happily at how beautiful she was.
