Fly Away
This day.
I left my once-called ‘home.’
It just happened unexpectedly, unconsciously.
This will happen, I know.
But not as fast as this.
No goodbyes, no “till we meet again” dramas.
Just tears flowing from everyone’s eyes
Where soul lingers are evident.
An addition to my sin, I guess
This day.
Someone needs to choose.
Either granting me eternity,
Which all of us craves
Or punish me to the pit of fire.
The vindication is all to him,
Never to someone else, never to mine.
“Please choose the former,”
My fingers crossed.
This day.
My body officially left, yes.
But never the memories.
