The Name of Truth | Josiah & Silas
In a church full of sinners, many of whom put on airs akin to acting with the sole purpose of saving themselves from a hell they didn't truly believe in, there were few legitimate believers. Among them were children(who had yet to come across hardships or understanding that made it possible for them to question inconsistencies), the elderly(most of whom were far too close to death not to at least entertain the idea of 'saving' themselves), those who had been convinced the hardships they'd faced in life and gotten rid of were whisked away by an all knowing deity, and, of course, the delusional.
As far as the most sane of the congregation were, Reverend Daniel was as delusional as the worst of them, set in his ways, willing to believe and accept anything, so long as 'the Good Lord Jesus and the Almighty Father' was tacked onto the end. Silas had to admit, there was a part of him that believed the man might've been insane, but the greater part wasn't at all interested in the workings of his mind. It wanted only to pry and determine whether or not the rumors were true. Was the man really as dark and twisted as some of the gossipers liked to say?
It was in the name of finding out and, hopefully, getting some amount of fun out of it that Silas was currently standing outside of the man's office, knocking softly. "Reverend? Reverend Daniel?" The brunet didn't dare step in, figuring he enjoyed his privacy to some extent.
