1. If you could meet someone from the past, who would it be? My 3 times great-grand mother Rena Peterkin who was born a slave in Dillon, SC & my great-grand mother Lillie Duvall, "Momma" from my other maternal line. They both raised strong, confident, resourceful, take no mess women and I would just love to sit at their feet and absorb their wisdom!
2. Where were you born? Baltimore, Maryland
3. Sweetest moment in your life? I don't know. I never really thought about.
4. Favorite food? I don't have a single favorite food. I do have a favorite dessert tho, strawberry shortcake with lots of whipped cream and strawberry sauce!
5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Bora Bora or New Zealand.
6. First word? Up. I wanted to sit in my mom's lap so I could eat off her plate. LOL. Fat Girl for Life!
7. What was your first pet? My first pet was a red-bellied cooter- a chesapeake bay turtle- that I was deathly afraid of. My mom caught on a fishing trip. About a month later she returned it.
8. Dated someone of a different race? Yup. Which I might add was not popular during the "Black Nationalist" 90s. To quote Big Pun,"I don't discriminate, I regulate every shade of that ass."
9. Why do you crush on your current celeb love? Well I have two major celeb loves Norman Reedus & Richard Armitage. Polyandry for the win! Just because they don't know we're married, doesn't mean we're not! Anyway, excuse the tangent.
Richard- from all accounts he's a genuinely decent human being, a regular bloke who just happens to be an immensely talented actor, a bit of a polymath, likes chocolate ice cream, tall, gorgeous, those eyes, that nose...
Norman- The thing I love most about Norman is that he breaks that mold of what society thinks 40+ yr. olds should be. That somehow after the big 3 oh or 4 oh you get some stepford-like personality transplant and become soccer moms & suburban dads mowing the grass on your John Deere. WTF is that about? Some of us are still the kids that saw the Berlin Wall fall, loved Punk & New Wave, saw the end of the USSR, birth of the World Wide Web, rubber bracelets, and florescent clothes. So I love pics of Norman's action figures, masks, and fuzzy slippers. You don't fuckin die when you turn 40! Oh and he's a hugger and a kisser and adorable.
10. What one thing would you change about yourself? Nothing really. If I changed myself, I'll have changed my experiences. What would I have learned then? I am built of my successes & failures, and I'm ok with that.
11. Any unusual talents? I can pick up things with my toes.
