Look.
If I get the opportunity to turn a character into a sick-ass monster-
I'm going to fuckin' take it.
A dream has come true.

I really don't know what my team mates are thinking sometimes . . .
My big climatic fight with my Paladin's sworn enemy was hindered because I couldn't see the fucker the entire fight. And the one person who could break the invisibility just . . . absolutely refused to use her spells to help out? Because it was more important for her to go Big Monkey and punch things, I guess.
The good news is that we did manage to beat him, and I still got a few decent swings in, even with disadvantage.
Live and learn, I guess.
Our wizard Bobbert is a ball of pure destruction and chaos and it is Thelus's duty of constant vigilance to keep the lil' murder-robot pointed in the right direction.
Doesn't always work, though.
Inspired by a recent game where our cleric, Vaen came _way_ too close to dying for Thelus's comfort.
Oath of Redemption
--
Capturing a scene from one of our latest DnD adventures, where our group goes exploring for a legendary artifact. The artifact is guarded by a fallen celestial, bound in eternal torment, torn between Despair and Anger. One body, two faces. Unholy wrath upon whoever disturbs this wretched creature.
Thelus, my paladin, passes a religion check to know more about the celestial, but more importantly, what would cause an angel to be trapped in such a state. He reaches out, beseeching the celestial, granting it absolution. He grants the angel mercy and bids it to be free of its torment.
He rolls.
Natural 20.
The face of Despair falls away, finally able to rest with a gracious "Thank you." Thelus, bound by his oath of forgiveness, mercy, and second chances, redeems the fallen angel.
Or, at the very least, one of the faces.
But we can all rest assured with one facet of the celestial gone, the boss fight is now much, much easier!
“Wait for me, I'm coming Wait, I'm coming with you Wait for me, I'm coming too
I'm coming too I'm coming wait for me I hear the walls repeating The falling of my feet and It sounds like drumming And I am not alone I hear the rocks and stone Echoing my song I'm coming!”

Guess who saw Hadestown and is now obsessed.
And, as the muse struck, “Wait For Me” was the perfect inspiration for my character Thelus, as his journey is a near-perfect reversal of Orpheus’s. Thelus, an undead, desperate to truly return to his wife, return to her as a man of living flesh and blood.
A dead man, desperate to return to the land of the living and return to his lover, dragged down by his obligations, his duty, and his fears. Begging his wife to wait, wait for him, he’s coming.
He’s coming to you.
Hey, guys. Um. Long time no see.
I wish I could give a good explanation for the lengthy hiatus. I just go through weird art funks, where managing to pick up my pen and draw seems insurmountable. Motivation and drive for art are non-existent. I want to finish this comic, I really do, and after so long, I finally managed to work up enough motivation to finish this page. I hope I can see the rest of the comic through, and I thank you all for your patience and support.

Well, that’s the weirdest looking demon I’ve ever seen.

I had a dream of Thelus getting turned into a dragon. Now I need that to happen in our DnD game.
Totally OP and game-breaking? Sure. Absolutely awesome and sick as hell? You bet!
Look, just let me dream, ok?
