#listen. i want to write a proper meta about theon's time as a ward bc it shapes his whole charcter#the feeling of never belonging. of not being apart of the wolves nor one with the sea.#he used to view his time w the starks ( as he should. he's right. ) as him being held hostage. he was. the very real possibility of#being killed by ned if balon was to ever rebel again was there.#and theon had to live with that. he also had to live with people telling him he was. essentially. lucky to be a hostage.#and i know now he's come to regret betraying the starks ( and he's done so for a long time in the books as well ) but lbr . he never owed#them anything.#but he did always want to be apart of their family. of their pack. he could never find that acceptance there before and even though robb wa#the kindest to him; he still treated him like one would an outsider#and it's sad that theon is so unused to being treated warmly that this means the world to him :/#he was in a terrible position; being taken away from his family as a child. he never got to know them. and he regards the starks ( more#specially robb ) as his family despite everything and i just think that's sad :')#delete.#yes i did just spill out my feelings on what was meant to be a shitpost#my blog my rules :/#none of this flows together so expect a proper post tonight!!
