Theme update!!!

So I don’t have school today and I’m in the mood to change and tweak my blog. Hahahaha. Finally after 174647826582 years (kidding) I finally changed my theme that’ll match the contents of my blog.

Back to the subject of writing, since I'm on break I'm going to try to do more work on Them, the nanowrimo-ish piece I'm going to be adding to and editing back and forth for a while. I've been trying to make a basic storyboard for a while now, because I'm one of those people that likes to be sure of the big picture before going too far ahead. I was trying to do it digitally but I kept losing focus and getting lost in the details, so I thought, maybe if I used a bigger canvas then it would be easier to see all of it. Since this is a big story I'm trying to tell, I need a big canvas.  So I dug up one of those fold-out poster boards and I'm currently pencilling the layout and then I'm gonna paint the big words and keep most of the plot details in pencil so I can edit it as I go. I'm still deciding on what shape the plot's gonna be, but I was thinking of doing a treasure map sort of thing where you start at a dot and end on an X. That way I could think of it like we're actually going somewhere. So that's gonna be fun to make :3 .

I wasn't lying when I said this story was going to be big. It's only 20 pages in Google Docs right now but I'm doing a lot of rethinking of how the story should start and the beginning of the story (aka before entering sci-fi territory) is going to be longer than it is now. (One of the reasons I haven’t posted the beginning of Them on tumblr yet is because I really HATE the first chapter and want to change it) In terms of character development, I think my protagonist needs more time standing alone before meeting with big bro + guides in sci-fi territory so we can get a taste of how they lived beforehand + their personality. I really want to give the most important characters their own shining moments, so, I’ve been thinking a lot about this.

 It’s been a dream of mine to write an epic. I believe with enough work, patience, and determination that this could be pretty epic :D. I will keep ya’ll posted!
