“Really? For me? Or for the eddies, huh?” Vera knows this is a big favor she’s asking out of him-- doing a job for her and letting her take full credit for it. Of course she’s giving him the full cut of the job but the credit has to be given to her. She agreed to doing this weeks ago but she hadn’t expected for Wakako to contact her with something needing to be done immediately, and only a moron would say no to that woman. A moron who doesn’t care about their street rep, and Vera isn’t that kind of stupid.
“You like me, or what? Don’t think you’d do such an annoying favor for someone if you didn’t like ‘em.” Vera smiles, looking up at him once she finishes closing the straps of her combat boots. She makes sure she’s got a knife hidden in each one before she stands up, closing the space between her and Vincent. They’ve been sleeping together ever since they met, but sex has just been sex so far. For the most part, at least. There’s no denying the growing crush Vera is starting to feel for him. “Thank you. I’ll make it up to you once we’re both back, yeah?” A quick kiss to his cheek for good luck.
