#TheMailOnSunday Some days I think scrap #feminism to hell with it. We should ALL be #humanists and that would be enough. Today is one of those days. I don't care about the kind of feminism that focuses on ideals with no real life changing impact. No I do not care about the feminism that fights for our right to be naked. I do not even care about the feminism that says I must keep my "father's" name when I get married as if that simple gesture would change the world for the better. What I care about is a fair and equal society for ALL: A society in which we do not take advantage of people's vulnerabilities. A society in which we empower each other instead of using the less fortunate for our own betterment. A society in which the rich doesn't get richer while the poor gets poorer. A society where this would never happen talk less of it making the front page news. A society in which the people who argue passionately about and applaud the impact that secular culture has on feminism will also devote the same passion to putting an end to the unnecessary suffering that women and girls are going through in various corners of the universe be it due to ignorance, outdated traditions and cultural practices, #patriarchy or the modern day #FemaleChauvinistPigs.
