El reto de este mes en @themakersmedley era el "tercer ojo" y fue así que Chandra nació. Ella es nuestra primer Nahualita hindú, ella -como la mayoría de las mujeres practicantes del hinduismo, lleva plasmado el bindi en la parte central de su frente; el bindi (o tilaka) simboliza el tercer ojo, el agñá-chakra (ajna) mismo que nos permite vislumbrar la realidad más allá de la materia. El tercer ojo se abre para ver lo que los otros dos no son capaces de ver y llena nuestro espíritu con sabiduría. El ajna abierto nos permite conectarnos con la totalidad de nuestra existencia y de percibir todo a nuestro alrededor en diferentes planos. Hi Folks, drum roll please……… It reveal day again, this month’s Makers Medley challenge was for an old object, so … Please meet Maurice. I was a little stumped at first for this challenger, but I had wanted to try my hand at a Ball Jointed Doll (BJD) for some time and I was also interested in wood as a medium, so it occurred to me that wood is a fairly old substance so I think I can got away with it. I have loved making little Maurice. I knew that there was no way I could make a decent job of carving a wooden face, so I decided to go with a clay face plate, and I think it suits him very well. He is quite rough, but I do love him, and I have learnt so much and can't quite believe a few weeks ago he was log hahah.
