My next #booktoscreen endeavor is #themapoftinyperfectthings on @amazonprimevideo This one is based on a short story by #levgrossman I listened to the #audiobook which was only 2 hours long including an #authorsnote that explained why he wrote the story (it’s inspired by the movie Groundhog Day) and how he also wrote the screenplay, the trouble with adapting a short story to a longer visual format, COVID delays, etc. I loved both the story and the Author’s Note. I’m happy to report that the movie was good too. The Map of Tiny Perfect Things tells the story of quick-witted teen Mark, contentedly living the same day in an endless loop whose world is turned upside-down when he meets mysterious Margaret also stuck in the time loop. Mark and Margaret form a magnetic partnership, setting out to find all the tiny things that make that one day perfect.
