Extra Emojis Part 2

     I recently went to a theme game in woozworld and there was a woozen who was more experienced than me. She was not a VIP woozen. When she won a round and used the ‘Party!’ emoji (*19), us other woozens were SUPER confused. I said, “How did you do that?!”. She replied, “It’s super easy!” (See ‘Extra Emojis Part 1′).

    “Wanna see something even COOLER?” She asked excitedly. “Of course we do.” Said a woozen wearing a ducky on her head. Basically, to get a heart emoji you must type *100. And to get a (very strange) bowl of dog food, you need to type *101.

Guy’s Night Out (Theme Game Prize - Mini Fanfic)

As a winner of the theme game from Theo week, 199592 gave us the prompt of a guy’s night out with Dorean, Akin, and Blaine.

Dorean’s tale flicked to and fro in the air as he and Akin sat on the edge of the bed as the phone rang and rang for what seemed like an agonizing fifteen seconds. A sparkle of silver gleaming off of Dorean’s new slippers from Akin’s closet provided enough distraction in those last few seconds before a certain foul mouthed fae answered the phone.

"Goddammit, Cerberus, could you not leave dog drool everywhere? Keros already slipped once today! And no! I don't want to go anywhere with you right now!"

The two platinum blondes blinked in surprise at Blaine’s words, sharing a look that said that the situation was worse than they originally thought. Of course, they knew Blaine was stressed. Everyone knew how tired and stressed Blaine had been with the two new twins, but knowing Blaine, they didn’t think it would be to this exact point.

“Who the fuck is this?” Blaine growled from the other end, startling Akin and Dorean from their temporary fear that prolonged a proper reply.

The two fashionistas were having a good “guy’s night out” at Dorean’s request by trifling through the back of Akin’s closet and trying on different outfits, deciding which to keep and which to toss after shopping earlier.

“Hi, Blaine!” Dorean chirped with his normal cheery tone, but Akin knew that they shared the same nervous dread as he gave his own greeting to the fae.

Sometime during their DIY fashion show, Akin expressed his dismay over his dying flower garden out on the balcony of his new apartment. It was a gift from his littlest sister, Dania, and he was frustrated that no matter what he did, the flowers didn’t seem to have a will to live. He didn’t want to present the dead flowers to Dania the next time she visited, lest she be heartbroken and think that Akin thought ill of her gift. They were rare flowers she had purposely extracted in South America during one of her adventures just for him. Akin wasn’t really into flowers, but she said that the plant reminded her of Akin, and so, she brought it back home.

Naturally, Dorean, who was concerned over Blaine’s current frazzled state that seemed to stay longer than it should have, thought there was no better person to cheer up Akin’s dying flowers than someone who had a connection to the plants. It was a way of finishing two things at once: cheer up Akin’s flowers and get Blaine some R & R.

Akin thought it was a glorious idea, which brought them to this current point where Blaine, once again, was yelling at his husband before remembering there were people on the line.

"Oh, hey, Dorean, Akin. Sorry, I was just telling my poor excuse of a husband that he needs to go back to the pound."

Dorean giggled and fiddled with the silver glittered barrette in his hair. “So…” he trailed.

“We were having a guy’s night out here at my apartment…” Akin attempted to finish the sentence, but given Blaine’s current temperament, suddenly hesitated at asking for such a favor at a time like this.

“And we would like you to come over!” Dorean gave a small clap despite Blaine not actually being in the room. “Akin’s been having some flora problems. We thought it’d be a great way for you to get a break from the kids and get in touch with your inner fae!”

Blaine was silent on the other side of the phone for a long moment. The other two held their breath.

"That sounds fan-fucking-tastic. I need to get out this house before I go crazy. It was supposed to be date night, but a certain mutt was taking too long to get ready because his hair wasn't perfect enough for him." Blaine said loud enough for his husband to hear. "What about Hannibal?"

"He's hanging out with Raven right now." Akin replied easily, giving a smile to Dorean who looked relieved that their friend had agreed.

The line clicked, indicating that Blaine had hung up. The two of them looked at each other, wondering if that earlier acceptance was sarcasm, when the doorbell rang.

Running down the stairs from the loft bedroom, Akin being careful not to stumble with the too large baggy tripp pants he’d found from his 90s days, they rushed to the door.

Upon opening, Dorean squealed, “You made it! You actually got out of the house!”

But Blaine didn’t look pleased. He carried his usual pissed off look along with dark moons beneath his eyes. This time, those eyes were directing a glare at the two of them.

Before Dorean or Akin could say anything more, Blaine held up a hand.

“I’m always in touch with my inner fae. Now, where are those flowers?”

Akin rolled his eyes while Dorean giggled again before guiding them to the balcony. The two of them knew that, in Blaine speak, that was code for, “Thank you.”

Sorry that we couldn’t quite fit entirely everything in there (the being cutesy and the nsfw pics to Cerberus)! It was a bit hard to get from point A to point B with this fic. We hope you enjoyed it!

Rottian Spotlight: LADY_CROW

Let’s welcome another one of our theme game winners from Theo Week! Welcome, Karina!

When did you first discover Rotty?

About three years ago, I believe.

Was Rotty’s work the first gay fic you ever read? If so, what book was it. If not, what was?

I think Rotty was my first gay fic. She/He is the reason I’m a fag hag. I began with the I Kissed A Boy series.

We know it’s hard, but what is your favorite series or book by Rotty and why?

Lords of the Underworld and The Vampire’s Requiem I and II were my favorite. That is, until I got to see more of Hannikin in The Hybrid.

What Rotty character do you feel like you identify with the most?

Hannibal. We are both quiet for the most part and we are both extremely loyal to those who do so much for us. At the same time we can also be extremely sarcastic. We both have suffered and, at times, I felt like I deserved what I got. All in all, Hannibal is me in almost every way, except that I tend to forgive more easily.

Who are your favorite Rottian ships and why?

In the UHA series, it was Hadifer before I read The Hybrid. Now it’s Hannikin. From the Council of Seven, it’s Xewell.

What is your favorite thing about Rotty?

She/He is not afraid of anything. Rotty tries everything out there. I was not expecting BDSM from her/him since her/his earlier works did not have anything like that. It seemed that after Monster, there was a surge of ideas for Rotty. Rotty keeps on making more and more progress because she/he keeps on writing and writing. That’s commitment and I commend Rotty for that.

If you could live in any book or series written by Rotty, which one would it be?

UHA series. I would love to be one of Hades’ generals. Or maybe Lucifer’s. If Hannibal takes the throne I’m definitely joining him in Atlantis. Or maybe in the Council of Seven. I totally see myself married to Xed’s brother ;D

Besides reading, what else do you like to do?

Um, I used to do other things but I can’t recall that life anymore. Rotty has taken over my life.

What’s the story behind your username?

My Wattpad username is Lady_Crow. I always felt that the crow was my spirit animal. When we are loud, people find us annoying. When we are quiet, no one notices us. We are full of knowledge of the world, and people find that creepy. We are very misunderstood.

My Tumblr username is in-hades-today, and that is rather obvious. I cracked up along with Theo.

How long have you been on Wattpad?

I don’t know for sure. Three years, give or take. I actually discovered Wattpad when I looked up horror stories.

Where are you from?

I was born in El Salvador. That’s in Central America. Currently, I reside in Washington state, where I have been since I was eight. I was very excited when Rotty chose Seattle for the UP meetings.

And, lastly, as Dev and Raven like to ask, what’s your favorite color?

I don’t like having a favorite of anything. I like to enjoy all things with equal fervor, but I do especially love black. I also like the blue-green colors of the beaches. I often find myself buying a lot of things in pink. It’s not a favorite color of mine, but I am attracted to it.
